Woke up earlier in the morning and had breakfast with Galaxy’s representative at another hotel at the back of the one I’m staying. After breakfast, we went to Nangang to visit Galaxy’s booth. I spent little time there as I’ve plenty of floor space to cover.
I covered the fourth floor before lunch, then took the shuttle to Taipei 101 with Cheah and met up with the Gigabyte people. Bumped into Kingston representatives there, as well as CHIP India’s journalist. Chat a bit and we went to Grand Hyatt, where some of the vendors rent rooms there to serve as their “booth”.
We went to XFX first and took part in the “building a bomb” thing. Cheah broke the record and got himself a t-shirt and I got a cap. Huei won against a Korean guy but got the cap as well, because the T-shirt ran out. We then went to Liteon and saw this super new burning technology. Instead of writing on the label or using Lightscribe to laser etch on the label, this new technology writes your illustration on the data side itself! Went over to Corsair after that and got to see some new memory and casings.
We then went back to Nangang because we’ll be meeting up there for the Kingmax dinner. We were hungry and Cheah was making noise saying that he wants MOS Burger, so we went for MOS burger. After that, we went up to the exhibition area and went round again, until our meet up time.
We were ferried to some hotel and had dinner there. It was Kingmax’s 20th annivarsary dinner so they had plenty of fun there. We were to tired to have fun.
We then went back to the hotel, left our stuff there and went to Shilin night market with the MSI representatives.
Came back at about 1am and I’m tired now.
There is a Kingmax factory tour tomorrow and it’ll be at Xinzhu, about an hour drive from my hotel. First half of the day will be gone and I’ll most probably be at Nangang tomorrow to cover the rest of the stuff.
See you and good night!
