The other day I called my good friend Chiewata to borrow his Nikon 50mm f1.8 and Nikon 18-200 f3.5-5.6 VR lens so that I can take some good portrait shots for Eileen’s graduation. My conversation with him was like this:

Me: Wei, can pinjam your 50mm and 18-200 ar?

Chiewata: I bring my whole bag lah, lazy to pack lah.

So we met at my office and he handed me his bag. It was DAMN heavy and I know I’m getting some serious stuff here. I went back to the office, opened the bag and I saw these:

He gave me his whole set! Including the DSLR. I knew he had a few lens but I didn’t know he practically had everything in his possession!

I wanted to bring everything to the convocation, two bodies and all the lens to the convocation so I can have the 50mm attached to one and the 18-200 to the other one so I don’t have to change lens all the time. I didn’t because there is only one flash gun.

So I took all the lens, leaving my 18-105mm at home and paired all the lens with my D90. It looked something like this:

A lot of people asked me if I was the official photographer because I’m carrying such a huge camera.  In fact, the official photographers only had a Canon 40D with battery grip and a flash gun as well as a 17-40mm L lens.  The only person there that had a better set up was this guy using an EOS 1D Mark II/III with a 70-200mm L lens.

I felt good.  The pictures turned out the way I wanted it.

Chiewata, if you are reading this, DO NOT EXPECT ME TO GIVE YOU BACK THE STUFF! heheheh…oklah, you can have the D80…I don’t need it…hehe…Oh yeah, you can have the remote control back also…can’t be used with my D90…hehe…
