Masters in Business Administration – Got it!

Today is a happy day. The magazine is closed and sent for print, weekends area looming around the corner and I PASSED MY MBA! WOHOOOO!

I was waiting patiently in front of my computer, logging in and out of the student page of my university, waiting anxiously for the results and chanting *please let me pass* all the time. So yeah, I now have my weekends back, after 2 freaking long years.  It’s been a long time since I last said I’m looking forward to the weekends.  Today I can!

For some reason, I feel that I’m happier with my masters than when I got my degree.  I think it’s because I’ve done my masters myself.  All the assignments and exams are done individually and if I don’t do it, no one will.  Degree was different, most of the courseworks are group work and I used to slack all the time and let one of my group members do the hard work.

So from today onwards, no more assignment datelines, no more dateline clashes with my magazine, no more late nights because of assignement and the best of all, no more studies!

Today is a happy day!

Advance Step in Innovative Mobility

…or ASIMO. Yes, that cute little robot fellow that Honda developed. I met him/her today (It sound like female but I don’t know) at Honda’s showcase.

The ASIMO walked like it has back problems. It walks like me! He can run faster than me too, at 6km/h. It was really nice to get a glimpse of the future, where you see robots running around helping people. ASIMO might not be able to do as much but it does give us a promising future in robotics.

Honda gave us an ASIMO each as well. No, not the real thing, a figurine.

They gave us a pen with a mini ASIMO as well!

Big ASIMO and small ASIMO

Cute eh?

Unofficial results

The unofficial marks for my Law assignment is out.  I got 35 out of 50, way higher than what I’ve expected!  Why unofficial you asked? The marks are there for me to view but there are no feedback to see where I did wrong and I didn’t get an email saying that my marks are available.  I just went to the site and checked my marks.  I hope my 35 marks won’t mysteriously decreased.

So besides waiting for the official notification for my Law assignment, I’ll need to have at least 15/50 marks from my Law exam, which result will be available on the 28th of this month.  I’ll also need 46/100 marks on my Project Management second assignment to pass the subject.

You’ll notice that I am only aiming for a pass and not credits or even distinctions.  I know my limits and I know how much time I spent on my assignments so I won’t be big headed and aim for the sky.  I was never a straight A student anyway.

I’ve calculated my overall average and it came up to about 58 marks, which I think is in the “pass” region.  60 marks will put me in the “credit” region.  So depending on what my remaining results give me, I could either get a pass or credit but if I fail any of the subjects, I’ll have to retake the whole subject again.

So right now, please let me pass.

Continues to chant *please let me pass*
