Lack of updates

Sorry for not updating lately.  I’ve been very busy with my Law assignment.  I will most probably update on Saturday, when the assignment is submitted.

Blooging a lot these days

I’ve been blogging a lot lately but I should really start (yes, START) on my Law assignment which is due a week’s time.

I’ve just converted the lecture which I recorded into MP3 format, you know, to listen. So now I don’t have to hold on the fast forward or backward key on my recorder.  I just need to slide the slider on iTunes.  What do I do when computers get extinct?

Anyway, I’m practically bedridden for the past week due to my back problem.  I really hope I’ll be well soon as the magazine needs me before the new Editor comes in.  I’ll need to do all the preliminary work for the November issue.

I’ll go to sleep now.  Bye!

Bloggers

It seems that everyone is starting a food blog these days. The newest one I’ve seen is Brian’s, aka goldfries. Go visit his at www.buurps.com.

Speaking of Brian, I want to talk about famous bloggers today. I won’t be mentioning names and get myself into trouble and Nicole doesn’t count. Yes, she is famous but I know here before she was famous, so I’m ok with her. :) Brian, who runs www.goldfries.com, is a very down to earth guy. I’ve met Brian a couple of times and after chatting with him these few times, I knew he’s different from all the “diva” and “kings” of blogosphere out there but

In my line of work, I’ve met plenty of famous bloggers, as well as those not-so-famous-but-thinks-they-are-famous type. All, yes ALL, these bloggers have some kind of funny attitude. They think that they are the king/queen of the world and they can get whatever they want.

I don’t understand why people want to take pictures of these bloggers and put it into their own blogs. They think that these famous bloggers’ fame will spill over to them? Think twice. Will they plug you in their site? What good does it do when they plug you? Nothing!

I particularly hate this blogger that always brags about her readership. When she something she doesn’t like or when she is treated just like anyone else, which is fair, she’d say that “I have 50 million readers read my blog and you don’t want me to put this in my blog!”. However, she still puts it in her blog.

Then there is this not-so-famous-but-thinks-he-is-famous blogger, who I saw with my own eyes, scolding the PR girl at an event. You see, events usually have two lines for registration, Media/Press as well as Guests and the Media line is usually short, or no queues at all whereas the Guest lines are long. This event, had different lines, instead of Media and Guests, it was Media and Guest/Bloggers.

So this blogger scolded the PR people, saying,”How can you put me with the Guest, I am a blogger and is as important as the press people here, you guys invited me here and want me to line up at the Guest line?”

Hello? You are already lucky they invited you! I agree that the internet will soon take over print media but the time is not now, not yet at least. Newspapers and magazines still carry more weight than your blogsite. When you are required to queue at the Guest line, please do so instead of making yourself look like an uneducated imbecile.

Sometimes these so called bloggers are ruining the blogosphere. I hope these bloggers will get their lessons one day.

P.S. I am not jealous in any way. Why should I be? I don’t like the be famous and I don’t want to be tied down by my blog. I blog whatever I want and whenever I like.

A picture I snapped

I took this picture at the Sky Lounge in Hotel Maya when attending the Apple event the other day.  This is my first time taking a picture of the Petronas Twin Towers.

TwinTower
Canon EOS 350D, f3.5, 1/640 second exposure, ISO 100, 18mm focal length, Hoya Pro1 Digital CPL Filter

Is it good?

Did a little editing with Picasa and it turned out to be like this
TwinToweredit

Even better? Picture is darker, more details are seen.  Need to learn post processing on my pictures and Picasa is not enough.  Mei Leng, when you want to teach me?
