I Passed!

I got the results of my MBA subjects taken last semester.  I passed both subjects!

I didn’t expect it but I passed both of them.

So this semester will be my last semester.  If I pass this semester, you guys will have to address me as Master Justin Koh! This is a joke that only me and my ex-colleagues (and the people whom I told the story to) will understand. hehe.

Olympics 2008 will be up in 4 hours.  MALAYSIA BOLEH!

I hate this guy (Part 2)

Continued from part 1

This guy is from an above average family but he always brags about the things he has. Some of the things are:

  1. “I change my car every 3 years one coz I get bored of it.” He is not lying. The cars he changed was from a 15 years old Honda Accord to a Perodua Kancil to a Proton Iswara LMST to a Proton Waja and now, a Perodua Myvi. What’s the point of changing your cars so often? And why want to brag about it when all of them are very affordable cars?
  2. “I change my handphones as soon as a new model comes out.” He is not lying either, all his phones are less than RM800.
  3. He was talking to Eileen’s friend who came back from Melbourne for holiday. She was there for about 1 year now. This is what he said,”Last time when I was in Melbourne, I cook food myself, neh, you know this place or not, you can go this place and this place to buy the things, then go to this place to look for this item” I sarcastically asked him how long has he been in Melbourne, he said 1 week. Then I asked him when was the last time he was there, he said about 10 years ago. He practically brags about the stuff he knows to a person that has just came back from Melbourne and been staying there for 1 year!
  4. He’s been to the states. Yeah, big deal!
  5. “Everytime I go Genting, I sure win.” I asked the most he won was how much. He replied,”That day damn lucky, I won RM350!”

This guy also practically ruined his girlfriend’s future. The girlfriend initially wanted to study law in college but some how he convinced her to study business with him. So they studied business together. The girlfriend did his assignments and courseworks. Imagine, if you are the girl, you’ll have to do TWO sets of different assignments, one for herself, the other one for him! He dropped out after 2 semesters, saying that “its difficult”. What’s so difficult when your girlfriend does your homework for you?

So the girlfriend had to finish her business degree alone, a degree that she didn’t want initially. Now she is doing another degree, Law. She wasted 3-4 years doing something that she didn’t like, all because of this guy!

I can’t believed I wrote so much on this guy. These are just some of the funny things that happen around me…hehe…

I hate this guy! (Part 1)

Thanks for all your concerns. I am feeling much better now, can walk already lah…hehe…

Anyway, today I want to blog about a person I hate. This person is Eileen’s friend’s boyfriend. I know him since secondary school though. He is the kind of person who has a few cents and brags about it. He is also the kind of person that knows a bit but acts like he knows everything under the sun. I am not going to say his name though.

The other day Eileen and I went for dinner with her college mates, this guy came along with his girlfriend. He just bought a Tag Heuer, which he said, “Very expensive one ar! About RM3,000 after discount. I got 20% discount you know. You think everyone can get 20% discount on Tag Heuer ar?”

I didn’t care much because he is not the person that is worth arguing with. Anyone who has a bit of negotiation skills can get 30% discount from Tag Heuer, even the Limited Edition ones. I can get 35% if I want to. He acted like the 20% discount is so hard to get that we have to praise him.

Anyway, we had Japanese food that day and I was tackling my Chicken Teriyaki rice (super big portion!) and he came up to me saying, “Justin, I thought you very rich one, why your watch no brand one? So big like alarm clock on your wrist! Must at least get a Tag mah, let me know lah, I bring you go buy, if you go with me got 20% discount you know!”

I was thinking to myself, “Yeah, go with you can ONLY get 20% discount,” but I just told him that these days big watches are the trend, I just bought my watch from a stall in Mid Valley, RM70 only, very cheap. Little did he know I was wearing my Bell & Ross. He came sit next to me and showing me his Tag Heuer, saying it’s an Automatic watch and waterproof. He showed me the strap, saying that it doesn’t feel itchy, then said that my watch the rubber not nice. I just nodded and tackled my Chicken Teriyaki (Seriously damn big portion!).

Eileen kept listening and she wanted to laugh but she didn’t because she didn’t want to embarrass her friend. He just went on and on with his run of the mill Tag Heuer, which is just a very normal QUARTZ, not Automatic like he claimed. I wanted to tell him that for RM3,000, he can get an automatic watch from another brand, but I didn’t since he might not even have paid RM3,000 for the watch he is wearing, maybe he is just bragging about it. I just went on with my dinner and nodded to whatever he said, which lasted for about 30 minutes.

Part 2 soon. Can’t believe I can write so much on this guy!
