Went to Putrajaya last Sunday to catch the Malaysia International Fireworks Competition’s finale. Going there was a breeze, as we left quite early and reached at about 8 pm. The fireworks are due to be released at 10pm. There was a floral exhibition nearby, so I parked my car and went to the floral exhibition. My mum and Eileen’s mum bought some orchids from the fair and we walked around for a bit.
At about 9.30pm, we drove about 5 minutes down the road, found a nice parking spot with a nice viewing spot, on the opposite direction so that we could leave as fast as we could. The traffic congestion would be bad after the fireworks. So we got down from the car, Eileen brought some snacks. It was like a picnic, under the moon.
I setup my camera on the tripod and waited patiently for the fireworks to start.
At about 9.45, there was firework(s). Only 1 shot was released. Then 5 minutes later, another shot released. I told my self, I didn’t drive all the way here to watch fireworks one shot at a time. Then at about 10pm, the fireworks released. I don’t know which country was it from. It says on the website it’s a global team. So I guess it’s just a presentation team that wasn’t in the competition. Nevertheless, it was worth it. I heard that the fireworkers(what do you call them anyway) are very famous. The Hong Kong team is from Hong Kong Disneyland and the Australian team handled the 2000 Olympics.
Anyway, here are some picttures. I am not good at photography, so only these few turned out fine.
