Just bought a Apple Care Protection Plan for my Macbook. Now I have 2 years of extra warranty for my Macbook. It’s not cheap though, RM699, but this is the promotional price, it was retailing at RM963.
Got a Wireless Mighty Mouse as well to go with it. Now all I have to do is to spend less money and eat less.
Been away the whole of last week in Sabak Bernam helping Koon to setup his Local Area Network (LAN). I got to experience life in a village for one whole week and let me tell you, for a guy born and bred in a big city like me, it’s no fun!
Koon’s place is a ricemill, he stays about 20 steps from the ricemill, and the dust is horrendous. Everywhere you go is dust. Rodents and insects are everywhere, even in the house.
Anyway, it was nice having to work again. It’s been too long since I last worked and it’s been too long since I last plaayed with a Windows based machine, I am using a Macbook now.
Came back last Friday, had classes on Sunday. I think I need to spend more time reading books that are about my level, instead of comics, which are primary school levels. The reason I am saying this is because I understand nothing on the lecture. It was an Economics subject and the stuff she said is totally new to me.
I need to buck up my knowledge of the real world!
I really need to update my blog more often. Anyway, I passed both my subjects. Just got the results yesterday, got B+ for Marketing Strategy and B- for Business Computing. I didn’t fail after all. I am kind of happy with my results as I don’t really remember getting a B since……eerrmm…early college days?
I am now in Sabak Bernam, Koon’s place. Actually I’ve been here last week, but due to unforseen circumstances, i.e. my laziness, I didn’t blog about it. I’m here trying to help him manage his computing problems. Route a few cables here and there, transfering files here and there. That kind of stuff.Â
I was here last Tuesday, did some work, then went home on Wednesday night as I wanted to pray my grandfather on Thursday, it was Qing Ming, a day where you pray for your ancestors.Â
Met up with Ken, Andrew and Brian yesterday, it was nice, had a few beers, had lamb chop, which was superb, talked a bit. It was quite relaxing.Â
Had my first class for the semester on Saturday, Economics, it was really boring and the lecturer was lecturing in the lowest decibel imaginable. Today’s class was cancelled and now, I am back in Sabak Bernam, preparing for tomorrow’s task. I hope to finish the stuff here as soon as possible. If possible, i’d like to finish everything on Wednesday, latest by Thursday, but I think it’s not really possible as one of the suppliers are only comming in on Thursday. Just hope for the best.
